The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to a four-year, $41 million deal with free agent center Luke Kornet, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Kornet, 29, is an eight-year NBA veteran who has played for the Knicks, Bulls, Celtics, Cavaliers and Bucks. In his career, he has averaged 5.2 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game.
The Spurs went 34-48 last season and missed the playoffs. Kornet can help provide frontcourt depth next season to help them make a push towards competing.
