22-year-old point guard Saben Lee is set to return to the Detroit Pistons on a three-year contract, according to reports. Lee was a restricted free agent, meaning the Pistons could respond to any offer made to Lee before he could sign.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.
Lee was the chosen in the second round of the 2020 NBA Draft by the Jazz. He was subsequently traded to the Pistons. During the 2020-2021 season he played in 48 games (starting seven), averaging 5.6 points per game and 3.6 assists per game.
The former-Vanderbilt standout is now under Detroit’s control until at least 2024-2025, which will only be his age-25 season.
