This will be the last part for the Western All-Star predictions. This article predicting the 22022-2023 All-Star Teams: West Edition part three. Who will be the last four members on this list?
West All-Stars: Dallas PG Luka Doncic
Doncic is another lock for the All-Star team this year. Doncic is easily one of the best players in the league and doesn’t get a shortage of recognition by any means. He averaged a very meaty 28.4 points, 9.1 rebounds, 8.7 dimes, 1.2 steals, 0.6 blocks, and 4.5 turnovers a game on 46% from the field, 35% from three and 74% from the line. At this point, the only knock on him would be his free-throw shooting (just 74% on 7.5 attempts a game) and the high turnover rate. Other than that, he is one of the best players in the world. The guy was astronomical in this past year’s playoff run. He is coming off a career-high 15-game playoff run with averages of 31.2 points, 9.8 boards, 6.4 dimes, 1.8 steals, 0.6 blocks and 3.9 turnovers a game on 46% from the field, 35% from three and 77% from the line. Expect him to make the All-Star team this year.
West All-Stars: Timberwolves SF Anthony Edwards
Edwards is coming off a stellar playoff run and regular season. During the regular season, Edwards averaged 21.3 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.5 steals, and 0.6 blocks on 44% from the field, 36% from the three-point line, and 79% from the line. He even upped his averages even further in his first playoff run. The second-year forward averaged 25.2 points, 4.2 boards, three dimes, 1.2 steals, 1.2 blocks, and 2.5 turnovers a game on 46% from the field, 40% from three and 82% from the line. Edwards is looking like a future star in this league. Making the All-Star team this year is going to be the first of many.
West All-Stars: Suns SG Devin Booker
Booker is going to be another staple in this All-Star team. Booker surprised many by making the All-NBA First Team last year after averaging 26.8 points, five boards, 4.8 dimes, 1.1 steals, 0.4 blocks and 2.4 turnovers a game on 47% from the field, 38% from three and 87% from the line. He certainly had the averages, but it left a lot of fans questioning themselves, “how?” Still, he had a phenomenal season and he really deserved it. Game seven of round two against Dallas really left a lot to be desired, however. Booker won’t let something like that happen again, so watch out for an even better season this year. He’s just 25 years old, which is insanity.
West All-Stars: Warriors PG Steph Curry
Curry will never not make an All-Star team for the rest of his career. He is one of the best shooters in the history of the NBA. The guy is coming off another mediocre season in which he averaged 25.5 points, 5.2 boards, 6.3 dimes, 1.3 steals, 0.4 blocks on 44% from the field, 38% from three and 92% from the line. Kidding aside, Curry did have a tiny bit of a down year from an efficiency standpoint. Even then, Curry went nuclear in the NBA finals this past year, bringing home a fourth championship to the Bay. The former seventh overall pick will be making his ninth All-Star team this year.
