Portland Trail Blazers Bring in Derrick Jones Jr. on 2-Year, $19 Million Deal

The Portland Trail Blazers have agreed to a two-year, $19 million deal with wing Derrick Jones Jr. according to Shams Charania.

Jones, 23, has played four seasons in the NBA for the Suns and Heat. He was a solid bench player for the Heat last season as he helped the team reach the NBA Finals. Last season, he averaged 8.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game.

The Blazers have already made moves this offseason to improve their wing play with the trade for Robert Covington and the re-signing of Rodney Hood. Jones will provide further depth.
