Nolan Traore NBA Draft Profile

Publish Date: June 12, 2025

The 2025 NBA Draft will be an important event for teams to build for their future. Here is the Nolan Traore NBA Draft Profile.

Nolan Traore Background

Position: Guard

Size: 6-foot-3,  175 pounds

Class: N/A

College/Country: France

2024-2025 stats: 11.6 points, 1.7 rebounds, 5.1 assists, 0.7 steals,  0.7 blocks, 39.2% FG, 30.4% 3FG, 71.0% FT

Traore is a 19-year-old who has been playing professional basketball since 2021. He played for Centre Federal from 2021 to 2024. In 2024, he joined Saint Quentin. For his first season, he played in seven games, averaging 10.3 points, 1.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. This past season, Traore put up 11. 6 points, 1.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists per game.

Following the season, Traore declared for the 2025 NBA Draft. He is currently projected to be a first-round pick.

Nolan Traore Strengths

Traore is a natural playmaker who sees the floor well and finds open teammates. He can operate the offense and does well running pick and rolls. Whether he hits the roller or finds an open shooter in the corner, if someone is open, he usually finds them. He makes smart basketball plays and sets his teammates up for success.

He can run the point guard spot as a good ball-handler. Traore can create space for himself with dribble moves and get his own shot. He also has the ability to get to the basket with good pace by going around defenders. Traore also protects the ball well, with only 2.5 turnovers per game for a player that handled the ball a lot.

His finishing at the basket isn’t the most athletic, but is very creative. He can lay it up high off the glass over defenders and get it to go in. Traore can also contort his body and shot in unconventional ways to avoid bigger players in the lane. He’ll have to continue to work on his finishing, but he has a good starting point.

Nolan Traore Weaknesses

Traore is 6-foot-3, which is ok for a point guard, but he only weighs 175 pounds. In order to guard bigger players in the NBA, he needs to add muscle. He is a younger player and still has time to add strength. This will help his offense as well, as he should be able to finish more consistently as well.

His defense is still a work in progress, as he can struggle to stay in front of more athletic players. Traore can sometimes pick up fouls by reaching to keep opponents in front of him. He also doesn’t have the greatest length to contest against bigger opponents. Traore won’t generate many steals either, as he averaged just 0.7 per game last season.

His shot is still a work in progress. Traore shot 39.2 percent from the floor and 30.4 percent from deep last season. Defenses will sag off of him if he doesn’t improve those shooting numbers and the floor won’t be spaced. As a young player, he still has time to improve, but won’t be a threat as a shooter early in his career.

Projected Draft Range: First Round Pick
