The New Orleans Pelicans are trading Jrue Holiday to the Milwaukee Bucks for Eric Bledsoe, George Hill, three first-round picks and two pick swaps according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Last season, Holiday averaged 19.1 points and 6.7 assists per game and just missed the all-defensive team. Holiday’s versatility gives the Bucks another shot creator that they desperately needed who can also play off-ball when necessary.
Milwaukee’s decision to bring in Holiday serves as a gesture to Giannis Antetokounmpo that the organization is focused on building a championship team around him. Antetokounmpo can sign a five-year super-max deal with the Bucks this offseason or wait out the season and enter free agency in 2021.
In addition to Bledsoe and Hill, the Pelicans add another large set of draft picks to their collection of assets.
