The Milwaukee Bucks have made a trade for point guard Patrick Beverley. They will send Cam Payne and a second-round pick to the 76ers as part of the deal. Shams Charania reported the news.
Beverley, 35, is in his 12th season in the NBA. He averaged 6.3 points, 3.1 rebounds and 3.1 assists with the 76ers.
The Bucks will get a defensive-minded point guard to utilize off the bench. Beverley will help the perimeter defense, something that took a hit when Jrue Holiday was traded away. Milwaukee is third in the Eastern Conference right now.
Philadelphia has made plenty of moves before the deadline to try to cope with the loss of Joel Embiid. Payne can help off the bench after averaging 6.2 points for the Bucks this season.
