Free agent guard Mike Conley Jr. has agreed to a one-year deal with the Boston Celtics, according to Shams Charania.
Conley, 38, will be entering his 20th NBA season. He has spent time with the Grizzlies, Jazz and Timberwolves in his career. During his time in the NBA, he has averaged 13.6 points and 5.5 assists per game. Last season for the Timberwolves, he mostly came off the bench with 4.5 points and 2.9 assists per game.
The one-time All-Star will provide guard depth and some veteran leadership off the bench for the Celtics. Boston will be looking to make their way back to the NBA Finals with Jayson Tatum back healthy for a full season.
