The Denver Nuggets have traded Michael Porter Jr. and an unprotected first-round pick in 2032 to the Brooklyn Nets for Cameron Johnson, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Porter Jr., 27, has played six pro seasons for the Nuggets. He has averaged 16.2 points, 6.4 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game in his career.
With the Nets, Porter Jr. will help a rebuilding effort, as the Nets had five first-round draft picks in the 2025 NBA Draft.
Johnson, 29, is a six-year veteran who has played for the Suns and Nets. He has averaged 12.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game in his career and has helped to stretch the floor by shooting 39.7 percent from deep in his career.
In Denver, Johnson will help space the floor for Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, who will hope to make a push for another title this upcoming season.
