Miami VS. Boston Game Six Recap

Tyler JergerBy Tyler JergerMay 27, 20223 Mins Read

This game was one for the books. The Heat were facing a 3-2 deficit, but Jimmy Buckets came alive in this one. Not only him, but Kyle Lowry finally had a decent game for the Heat. This article is going to cover who did good for the Heat and how they were able to push it to a game seven. This is the Miami VS. Boston game six recap.

    Jimmy Butler Performance

This guy seriously wants to make it back to the finals. His final line consisted of 47 points, nine boards, eight dimes, four swipes, one block and just one turnover on 16/29 from the field, 4/8 from three, and all 11 free throws. The percentages were ridiculous, and not only did he have one of the best playoff performances in recent memory, but he is now the only player in Miami history to have multiple 45+ games in the playoffs (Lebron played on this team also). This series is now shifting back to Miami for game seven. Expect Butler to have another masterful performance in hopes of bringing Miami back to the promised land.

    Kyle Lowry Performance

Lowry has been an afterthought this year due to multiple injuries. This time, he was able to overcome his hamstring injury, and put up a nice performance. He put up 18 points, four rebounds, ten dimes, one steal, and one block on 5/14 from the field, 4/9 from three and all four freebies. Lowry has forgotten how to efficiently put the ball in the hoop, but he at least set up teammates four a team-high ten dimes along with just two turnovers. If Lowry can play like this again in game seven, this series might be over. Boston needs to overcome their own injuries, but it’s not like both teams are fully healthy. Sunday is going to be a showdown between these two, but who knows which team is going to show up. Lowry just needs to have a repeat performance in the worst way.

    Bam Adebayo Performance

Something about Adebayo is off this playoff run. He is a lot less aggressive on the offensive end, as evidenced by his 6 points on 3/6 from the field. He rounded out his line with nine boards, two assists, and one steal along with four turnovers. The final line was a major bummer, but at least he was able to have a major impact on the defensive end. All in all, this playoff run, he is averaging 14.2 points, 7.8 boards, 2.6 assists, 1.1 steals, and 0.8 blocks on 59% from the field and 78% from the line. He is averaging some healthy numbers, but at the same time, fans aren’t accustomed to seeing Adebayo be this passive. He’s also averaging career lows in points, rebounds and assists in his playoff career. If he can go back to his aggressive self in this game seven, this Miami team will much more dangerous if they can make it to the finals.
