The Memphis Grizzlies and forward Jaren Jackson Jr. have agreed to a contract extension for five years and $240 million, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Jackson, 25, has spent seven seasons with the Grizzlies to start his career. He has averaged 18.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game in his career, but upped those numbers to 22.2 points, 5.6 rebounds and 2.0 assists this season. Jackson is a two-time All-Star and two-time block champ to go along with his one Defensive Player of the Year Award.
Last season, Jackson helped the Grizzlies go 48-34, good enough for eighth place in the Western Conference.
