The Los Angeles Clippers have signed forward
Nicolas Batum, The Atheltic’s Shams Charania has reported.
Batum is coming off a down year with the Charlotte Hornets where he averaged career lows in points, field-goal percentage and 3-point percentage. Batum also played in a career low 22 games last season. The Hornets waived Batum this offseason after he picked up his $27 million player option to return for the 2020-21 season.
The Clippers add a 6-foot-9 veteran forward that can hold his own defensively while Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are off the floor. If Batum can get his shooting percentages back up to his career averages, he could turn out to be a huge addition to the Clipper line-up.
