The Los Angeles Lakers have agreed to deals with free agent guards Collin Sexton and Quentin Grimes, according to Shams Charania. Sexton is earning $19 million over two seasons, while Grimes will sign a four-year, $60 million deal.
Sexton, 27, is an eight-year NBA veteran who has played for the Cavaliers, Jazz, Hornets and Bulls. He has averaged 18.3 points and 3.6 assists per game in his career. Last season with time spent in Chicago and Charlotte, he averaged 15.4 points and 3.3 assists per game.
Grimes, 26, is a five-year veteran who has played for the Knicks, Pistons, Mavericks and 76ers. He has averaged 11.1 points, 3.2 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game in his career. Last season for the 76ers, he put up 13.4 points, 3.6 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game.
With LeBron James moving on, the Lakers have been active early in the free agency window. They traded for Walker Kessler and now have two guards to help the backcourt behind Luka Doncic and Austin Reaves.
