Knicks Agree to Trade Marcus Morris for Mo Harkless

Publish Date: February 6, 2020

The New York Knicks have reportedly agreed to trade F Marcus Morris for Maurice Harkless. Morris will join Harkless’ old team, the Los Angeles Clippers.

The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the trade on Thursday afternoon.

Since the agreement is in principle, according to Charania, the trade does not necessarily have to go through. But if both teams agree, they must be traded by 3:00pm on Thursday.

Morris is a veteran forward that can shore up some of the Clippers’ weaknesses. While Harkless allows the Knicks to shed some money as they continue their rebuild. This is the Knicks first trade deadline move of 2020.

New York, however, hired a new President of basketball operations earlier today.
