After weeks of rumors, the Phoenix Suns have traded Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the No. 10 pick in the 2025 draft and five second-round picks. ESPN’s Shams Charania was the first to report the news.
Durant, 36, is a 15-time All-Star, four-time scoring champ, two-time NBA champion and two-time NBA Finals MVP. He averages 27.2 points per game over his career and put up 26.6 per game last season for the Phoenix Suns.
In Houston, Durant will bolster a team that was the second seed in the Western Conference and will be looking to make a deeper run in the playoffs next season.
For Durant, the Suns are getting two players in Green, 23, and Brooks, who is 29 years old. Green averaged 21 points per game last season for the Rockets, while Brooks put up 14 points per contest. Phoenix will also get picks to help bolster their team for the future.
