The Lakers continue their spending spree in free agency. Along with the Russell Westbrook trade, the Lakers have brought back Dwight Howard, Trevor Ariza and Wayne Ellington. Their latest move brings Kent Bazemore into the fold, further revamping Los Angeles’ roster.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania laid out the details of the move via Twitter.
Bazemore turned down more money and years (two) from the Warriors, sources say, but believes he will have a bigger role and opportunity to win a championship with the Lakers. Bazemore is betting on himself. https://t.co/rw1VyXMN9c

Bazemore apparently turned down more guaranteed years and money with the Golden State Warriors to play on this new-look Lakers squad. His new deal is reportedly only for a single season.
This will be the second time Bazemore has moved on from the Warriors to join the Lakers. He was drafted by Golden State in 2012, spending two and a half seasons there before being traded to Los Angeles. He, then, bounced around from Atlanta to Portland to Sacramento before becoming a Warrior again.
Being that Bazemore was not on the roster during the Warriors’ dynasty, he is clearly aiming to win his first championship with LeBron and the Lakers, not the team that drafted him.
