Small forward Jalen McDaniels has a new home after signing a brand new deal. The Toronto Raptors have signed McDaniels away from the Philadelphia 76ers. The deal is reportedly worth two years and $9.3 million.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news on Saturday via Twitter.
In 2019, McDaniels was taken 52nd overall in the second round by the Charlotte Hornets. He began his career with the Greensboro Swarm before graduating to the Hornets’ roster. He was sent to the 76ers for less than a year after being involved in a four-team trade.
His averages took a bit of a dive after being shipped to Philly. In 24 games with the team, he averaged 6.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 1.7 assists. In the first stint of the season, with the Hornets, he averaged over 10 points per game.
