Isaiah Evans NBA Draft Profile

Publish Date: June 11, 2026

The 2026 NBA Draft will be an important event for teams to build for their future. Here is the Isaiah Evans NBA Draft Profile.

Isaiah Evans Background

Position: Guard

Size: 6-foot-5.5, 186 pounds

Class: Sophomore

College: Duke

2025-2026 stats: 15.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.3 assists, 0.7 steals, 0.7 blocks, 43.3% FG, 36.1% 3FG, 86.0% FT

Evans was a five-star recruit in the class of 2024 who signed with Duke to stay in North Carolina. As a freshman, Evans put up 6.8 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. He helped Duke make the Final Four before they lost to Houston. This past season, Evans took a huge jump, averaging 15 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game. He led the Blue Devils to an Elite Eight before getting bounced from the tournament.

Following the 2026 NCAA Tournament, Evans declared for the 2026 NBA Draft. He is currently projected to be a mid to late first round pick.

Isaiah Evans Strengths

Evans is a good shooter who can space the floor well. He shot 41 percent from deep as a freshman, but the percentage did dip to 36.1 as a sophomore. The extra volume did impact his percentages, but he has a good start to a floor spacer at the next level. He has a smooth stroke and can get his shot off quickly. Evans can catch and shoot or get shots off after dribbling.

There is potential for him to be a good 3 and D player. He averaged 0.7 blocks and 0.7 steals per game, so impact plays don’t happen with great frequency, but he had a defensive rating under 100. Evans has solid length and movement abilities to stay in front. He has a solid defensive motor that can really help him, especially if he adds some strength.

He has the ability to move well off the ball. Evans is well-conditioned to keep running off screens and get open. Evans creates separation off the ball and can shoot quickly when there isn’t much space as well. His recognition of how to space the floor was apparent at Duke, as he had to do so for Cameron Boozer. Teams that already have ball-dominant players can slide Evans right in on offense, and he will be useful.

Isaiah Evans Weaknesses

Evans is very slight for his height at over 6-foot-5 and just 186 pounds. He has a good frame and wingspan, but he needs to fill it out more. Evans plays hard, but can sometimes struggle matching strength when he is guarding other players. This also gives him issues on offense, as he can struggle to finish at the basket.

He can play on the ball, but doesn’t have too much experience doing it at Duke. Evans can struggle to create for others, even though there were some good plays with him operating the pick-and-roll. Seeing the floor well and finding the open man will be critical for Evans’s development.

His ability to create his own shot could also use some work. Evans is an alright ball-handler, but maybe not enough to run an offense full-time. He struggles to create space for himself to get shots off and can be reliant on others to create opportunities for him. Being a better offensive player will start with his own ability to create.

Projected Draft Range: Mid to Late First Round Pick
