The Indiana Pacers have completed a trade that will bring in sharpshooting wing Doug McDermott from the San Antonio Spurs for Marcus Morris, cash and a future second-round pick. ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news.
McDermott, 32, is averaging 6.0 points per game. He will provide the Pacers with outside shooting, after the team sent Buddy Hield to the 76ers earlier on deadline day. McDermott is shooting 43.9 percent from deep this season.
Indiana is currently sixth in the Eastern Conference.
The Spurs are getting Morris, who was sent to them as part of the Buddy Hield trade. He is averaging 6.7 points per game this season. San Antonio is also getting cash and a future second-round pick to help them build around Victor Wembanyama in the future.
