The Houston Rockets have agreed to a max three-year, $130 million deal with free agent guard Fred VanVleet according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
VanVleet, 29, spent the first seven years of his career with the Toronto Raptors. He has averaged 14.6 points and 5.3 assists per game in his career. Last season, VanVleet averaged 19.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 7.2 assists per game.
The Rockets will get veteran leadership and a go-to player in VanVleet, as they have had plenty of young players on their roster over the last few seasons.
