With NBA free agency largely wrapped up, it’s a great time to take a look at each NBA team’s depth chart as we head closer to the NBA season. Let’s take a look at the Golden State Warriors’ updated depth chart following free agency, along with some analysis of the team’s incoming and outgoing players as they shape up for the 2026–27 season.

The Golden State Warriors’ offseason was focused on re-signing key veteran players and adding depth to the roster. While many expected the Warriors to land a big-name free agent to pair with Steph Curry and Jimmy Butler, the team did not make any major moves and instead focused on retaining its own players.
The Warriors re-signed both Al Horford and Kristaps Porzingis to new deals. Horford signed a two-year, $13,985,100 contract to remain with Golden State and continues to be a productive and incredibly intelligent veteran despite turning 40 over the summer. Horford is no longer the same player he was in his prime, but he fits well alongside the other veterans on the roster and remains a reliable frontcourt presence while shooting 37.6% from three-point range for his career.
Porzingis also signed a two-year, $40 million deal to return. Porzingis, 30, was acquired midseason and appeared in only 15 games for the Warriors. During the 2025–26 season, he averaged 16.7 points and 5.2 rebounds and remains one of the league’s most offensively versatile big men. Injuries have limited Porzingis’ ability to stay on the court in recent years, but if healthy, he should fit in well alongside veterans Draymond Green, Steph Curry and Brandin Podziemski.
The franchise also re-signed longtime Warrior Draymond Green to a one-year, $27.7 million deal, as well as guard De’Anthony Melton to a two-year, $11 million contract.
Outside of re-signing their own players, the Warriors’ only new addition was first-round draft pick Yaxel Lendeborg, whom they selected with the 11th overall pick. Lendeborg is an extremely talented forward who helped lead Michigan to a national championship in April and was most recently named Las Vegas Summer League MVP. He will be one of the most exciting new pieces on an already well-knit roster, and it will be interesting to see how head coach Steve Kerr plans to incorporate him into the offense.
The Warriors’ offseason was clear-cut and centered on retaining players rather than making splash free-agent signings. Besides Jimmy Butler likely missing the first portion of the season, Golden State is entering the new year relatively healthy, and its biggest priority will be keeping its veteran stars on the court if they want to make it back to the playoffs.
