The Toronto Raptors have agreed to terms with Ishmail Wainright. The Raptors handed Wainright a two-year contract.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter on Thursday.

Wainright has had a very interesting sports career. He played football and basketball in college, with the Baylor Bears. He went on to play in the NFL briefly signing with the Buffalo Bills in 2018. Wainright then went on to play basketball in France. Now, he has landed a two-year deal with the Toronto Raptors.
It is likely he will play as a combo forward with the Raptors. At 6-foot-5 he is used to playing at the four, but may lack the size to play power forward in the NBA. Toronto fans will have to wait and see if his scoring and rebounding prowess shown in France will carry over to Canada.
