Center Enes Kanter is returning to the Portland Trail Blazers. In a three-team deal, Kanter is being sent to the team for which he played during the 2019 season.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the news via Twitter on Friday afternoon.
The Memphis Grizzlies will receive Mario Hezonjia and Desmond Bane (who was the 30th overall pick in the 2020 NBA Draft). The Boston Celtics will get a future Memphis draft pick.
Kanter was previously a member of the Trail Blazers for the second half of the 2019 NBA season. His biggest game as a Blazer was against the Oklahoma City Thunder, in which he scored 20 points and pulled down 18 rebounds.
The 2020-2021 NBA season will begin after just a small break following the Orlando bubble, starting on December 22.
