Clippers have sent G Derrick Walton to the Atlanta Hawks for cash. The amount of money the Clippers will receive has not been reported at time of writing.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported the trade on Thursday afternoon via Twitter.
Walton is averaging 2.2 points per game during his sophomore season. He has played in 23 games for the Clippers this season, at a clip of just under 10 minutes per game. The point guard is also averaging one assist per game.
This will be Walton’s third team in his two years in the NBA. He played for the Miami Heat in 2017, and did not play during the 2018 season.
