With NBA free agency largely wrapped up, it’s a great time to take a look at each NBA team’s depth chart as we head closer to the NBA season. Let’s take a look at the Denver Nuggets’ updated depth chart following free agency, along with some analysis of the team’s incoming and outgoing players as they shape up for the 2026–27 season.

The Denver Nuggets had an extremely quiet summer, opting for continuity within their squad rather than making significant roster changes. They have kept the same core of Nikola Jokić, Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray while attempting to improve the supporting cast around them.
The Nuggets’ main offseason addition was signing center Marvin Bagley III to a one-year deal. Bagley, a former No. 2 overall pick by the Sacramento Kings in the 2018 NBA Draft out of Duke, has not lived up to the lofty expectations placed on him coming out of college but has still played for five different teams during his eight-year NBA career. During the 2025-26 season, where he split time between the Mavericks and Wizards, Bagley averaged 10.5 points and 6.1 rebounds across 60 games. His addition aims to take some of the frontcourt burden off franchise star Nikola Jokić and provide Denver with more depth.
Besides Bagley, the Nuggets signed rookie Alpha Diallo and re-signed guard Tyus Jones. Although Jones’ statistics do not jump off the page, he is a reliable ball-handler who can help organize Denver’s second unit and provide valuable veteran leadership.
The only key player who departed from the Nuggets was guard Tim Hardaway Jr. In his lone season with Denver, Hardaway averaged 13.5 points while shooting 40.7% from three-point range, the best mark of his NBA career.
The Nuggets had one of the quietest free-agency periods of the summer, opting to stick with a near-identical roster from the 2025-26 season. Only time will tell whether Denver will regret not pursuing additional moves or whether its core players can step up and regain the form of their 2022-23 championship team.
