Free agent guard D’Angelo Russell has agreed to a two-year, $13 million deal with the Dallas Mavericks, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Russell, 29, is a 10-year NBA veteran who has played for the Lakers, Nets, Warriors, Timberwolves and Nets in his career. During his 10 seasons, Russell has averaged 17.3 points, 3.4 rebounds and 5.7 assists per game.
The Mavericks traded away franchise centerpiece Luka Doncic last season and will be looking to build around rookie Cooper Flagg. Russell will space the floor with his scoring ability.
