The Cleveland Cavaliers have signed free agent center
Robin Lopez
to a one-year deal according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Lopez, 34, has played 14 NBA seasons for eight different franchises. He has averaged 8.7 points and 4.9 rebounds per game in his career. Last season for the Magic, he had 7.1 points per game and 3.5 rebounds per game in 17 minutes per game.
The Cavaliers are getting a defensive-minded big man in Lopez who will likely give them solid minutes off the bench. With Lopez and some of their other transactions, the Cavaliers are hoping to make a playoff run in 2022-2023.
