The Golden State Warriors have waived point guard Chris Paul according to Shams Charania.
Paul, 39, played 58 games for the Warriors last season, averaging 9.8 points, 3.9 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game. Over his career, he has averaged 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game. He has also played for the Hornets, Clippers, Rockets, Thunder and Suns in his career.
Waiving Paul will make him a free agent. He was set to make $30 million guaranteed if he was on the roster still past this date.
