
Carmelo Anthony has announced his retirement from the NBA after 19 seasons in the league. He posted a video on social media announcing that he is retiring.
Anthony was a free agent during the 2022-2023 season and did not play. He played 19 seasons with the Nuggets, Knicks, Thunder, Rockets, Trail Blazers and Lakers.
In his career, Anthony was a 10-time All-Star and won the scoring title in 2012-2013 averaging 28.7 points per game with the Knicks. He was a six-time All-NBA performer and was a member of the NBA 75th anniversary team.
After being recognized as one of the top recruits in the country, Anthony signed with Syracuse where he won a title in his one and only season with the team.
