Cam Boozer NBA Draft Profile

Publish Date: May 20, 2026

The 2026 NBA Draft will be an important event for teams to build for their future. Here is the Cam Boozer NBA Draft Profile.

Cam Boozer Background

Position: Forward

Size: 6-foot-8.25, 253 pounds

Class: Freshman

College: Duke

2025-2026 stats: 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 1.4 steals, 0.6 blocks, 55.6% FG, 39.1% 3FG, 78.9% FT

Boozer was a five-star recruit in the class of 2025 who signed with Duke out of Florida. In his one season at Duke, Boozer posted 22.5 points, 10.2 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game. He shot 55.6 percent from the floor, 39.1 percent from 3-point range and 78.9 percent from the free throw line. Boozer led the Blue Devils to the Elite Eight where they lost to UConn to end the season.

Following the season, Boozer declared for the 2026 NBA Draft. He is currently projected to be a top five pick.

Cam Boozer Strengths

Boozer has a good combination of size and body control for the NBA. He stands at 6-foot-8.25 and 253 pounds, which gives him a big frame that is filled out. He won’t need to add play strength to make things work at the next level and that shows in his rebounding prowess, even against taller competitors. Despite being a bigger player, Boozer has good body control and skill, with the ability to ball-handle and play-make like a much smaller player.

His ability to score in different ways can really help a team. Boozer can play in the post and be effective, especially when smaller players are on him. He can get to the basket off the dribble as well and finish decently through contact. Boozer proved himself as a jump shooter, specifically from behind the arc, as he hit nearly 40 percent of his 3-point shots.

At Duke, Boozer played a lot with the ball in his hands and showed a knack for setting up his teammates. There aren’t many players who can play point forward and handle that much responsibility. He had a 4.1 to 2.5 assist-to-turnover ratio. Boozer can run the pick and roll, set up a half-court offense or find the right man in transition. He may not be the primary ball-handler in the NBA, but when the ball is in his hands, he can find open teammates.

Cam Boozer Weaknesses

Boozer is a highly skilled bigger player, but his athleticism won’t wow people. Boozer had an average 35-inch vertical at the NBA  Combine and he isn’t seen throwing down acrobatic dunks all the time. He also doesn’t have the greatest quickness or speed, which can make it tough on both ends of the floor in some regard. While he won’t look out of place at the NBA level, superior athletes could give him trouble.

While he creates shots for others, he can have struggles creating his own shot. He can get to the basket due to his strength and size, but will have to finish through contact a lot because he doesn’t always create a lot of space. Boozer can handle the ball, but doesn’t have the quickness to create space for his jump shot consistently either.

He is a good team defender, but his fit can be a bit tricky on defense. Boozer can struggle to guard players in the post and isn’t the greatest rim protector. He can also give up too much space to guards on the perimeter. He can get caught in some bad matchups. While he isn’t a bad defender, Boozer will need to guard specific players and may not hold up too well on switches.

Projected Draft Range: Top 5 Pick
