The free agency period officially begins at 6 p.m. ET. As the period approaches, both free agents and teams are waiting to make their agreements official. One of the first deals will be Lopez staying with the Bucks. Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN announced that the Bucks will re-sign Lopez on a four-year, $52 million deal.
This year, Lopez averaged 12.5 points and 4.9 rebounds. He also averaged a career-high 2.2 blocks and shot a career-high 35.2 percent from 3-point range.
Lopez played a significant role in the Bucks’ success this season. As the Bucks hope to keep their roster intact, re-signing Lopez is a step in the right direction.
