Brayden Burries NBA Draft Profile

Publish Date: May 22, 2026

The 2026 NBA Draft will be an important event for teams to build for their future. Here is the Brayden Burries NBA Draft Profile.

Brayden Burries Background

Position: Guard

Size: 6-foot-3.75, 215 pounds

Class: Freshman

College: Arizona

2025-2026 stats: 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds, 2.4 assists, 1.5 steals, 0.2 blocks, 49.1% FG, 39.1% 3FG, 80.5% FT

Burries was a five-star recruit in the class of 2025 who signed with Arizona out of California. In his only collegiate season, Burries put up 16.1 points, 4.9 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game. He shot 49.1 percent from the floor, 39.1 percent from deep and 80.5 percent from the free throw line. He aided the team in making the Final Four.

Following the Final Four, Burries declared for the NBA Draft. He is currently projected to be a lottery pick.

Brayden Burries Strengths

Burries is a solid athlete with decent size for the NBA. He stands at 6-foot-3.75 and 215 pounds, giving him a well filled-out frame. Burries moves well for his size, showing solid quickness and speed. He has decent leaping ability as well, which can help him play bigger than his height. His combination of size and athleticism should help Burries fit in at the NBA level.

He is a good scorer who is able to put the ball in the basket in different ways. Burries can get to the basket decently and finishes at the rim at a decent rate. He can pull up from the mid-range as well. Burries shows some really nice flashes from behind the arc, as he shot 39.1 percent from deep at the college level. He can develop into a three-level scorer at the next level, especially if he can work on his consistency.

His defensive impact is also there, as he is a solid on-ball defender. He slides his feet and is able to stay in front of his matchup. Burries shows the ability to switch and guard multiple positions on the perimeter. He is able to pick-pocket ball handlers and jump passing lanes when playing off ball to generate steals. Burries won’t be able to guard every player at the next level, but his athleticism and motor show on tape.

Brayden Burries Weaknesses

Burries has some skill to play on-ball a lot, but is still developing in that area. He didn’t have to play point guard much at Arizona, as the Wildcats had veteran Jaden Bradley take that role. Burries did average 2.4 assists per game at Arizona, but did turn the ball over 1.5 times per game. He can struggle to read the floor in the halfcourt and in pick and roll situations. More time playing with the ball in his hands could reveal the ability to run the offense, but he isn’t there yet.

He is a decent ball-handler, but there are areas he can improve. Burries can protect the ball a bit better, but also needs to work on creating more space for himself. Whether he is getting to the basket or trying to get more space in a step-back jumper, Burries can improve his ball-handling to improve in those areas.

His consistency overall and as a shooter could improve. Burries started the season off slow, but came on strong. In the Final Four he struggled as well. While he is a good shooter, Burries can improve the consistency, as he had some good stretches and some bad ones in college.

Projected Draft Range: Lottery Pick
