Center/power forward Bam Adebayo is reportedly re-signing with the Miami Heat. The deal is worth a reported $163 million over five years.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news on Tuesday afternoon via Twitter.
The Miami Heat plan to sign All-Star Bam Adebayo to a five-year, $163M contract extension, source tells @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Adebayo helped the Heat reach the 2020 NBA Finals, ultimately losing in six games to the Los Angeles Lakers. During the season, he played in started in 72 games, and had career highs in points, blocks, steals, assists, rebounds and minutes per game.
He also averaged 17.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game in the playoffs, over 19 games. The third-year player out of Kentucky is clearly a part of the Heat’s future plans, as a five-year deal suggests. The new season begins on December 22.
