Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards will undergo an arthroscopic procedure on his right knee and miss up to two months of action, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.
Despite being listed as questionable for the Timberwolves’ Monday night matchup against the Cavaliers, Edwards still managed to drop 47 points in 41 minutes of action.
Edwards dealt with right knee issues toward the end of last season, missing nine of the Timberwolves’ final 22 games due to runner’s knee. Edwards also suffered a hyperextended left knee during the team’s first-round playoff series.
Despite receiving treatment on his knees over the summer and returning to full health, Edwards is now expected to miss significant time, with the Timberwolves potentially being without their star guard for the next two months.
