Veteran guard Aaron Holiday is signing with a new team. Reportedly, Holiday is set to sign a one-year deal with the Atlanta Hawks. The exact amount of the contract is yet unknown at time of writing, but given the length of the contract, it likely is not an exorbitant amount.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported the news via Twitter on Friday.
Holiday was drafted with the 23rd overall pick of the 2018 NBA Draft by the Indiana Pacers. He spent 2018 through part of 2021 there before being traded to the Wizards and the Suns in back-to-back years. The Hawks will be his third team in two-plus years.
During his 22 games with the Suns, Holiday started just one. He scored 6.8 points per game for Phoenix, who was hot on the heels of their own NBA Finals run in 2021. His career points per game sit at 7.3, while his assists sit at 2.4 per game.
