2024 NBA Mock Draft May 14

Publish Date: May 14, 2024

The NBA season is in full swing, but front offices are always preparing for the draft. Here is the 2024 NBA Mock Draft February 6.

Note: Draft order is from NBA.com.

1. Atlanta Hawks- Alexandre Sarr, F, France

Sarr is an athletic 7-footer who could play either the four or the five in the NBA. With a down recruiting class in high school basketball, Sarr has put himself in a good spot to be the number-one pick.

2. Washington Wizards- Zaccharie Risacher, F, France

Risacher has nice size for a wing and can knock down the 3-point shot at a high-clip. The Wizards need talent on the roster from any position they can get it.

3. Houston Rockets (via BKN)- Nikola Topic, G, Serbia

Topic is a bigger point guard who can help set up some of the younger players on the Rockets for open looks.

4. San Antonio Spurs- Reed Sheppard, G, Kentucky

Getting a guard who can create for teammates and space the floor well will greatly benefit the Spurs. Sheppard complements Victor Wembanyama well.

5. Detroit Pistons- Matas Buzelis, F, G-League Ignite

Buzelis has good height and skill to go with it. At this point, he looks more like a complementary player than a star, but still a valuable prospect.

6. Charlotte Hornets- Stephon Castle, G, UConn

Castle can finish through contact and should only improve after having a minor procedure that saw him miss five games earlier this season.

7. Portland Trail Blazers- Rob Dillingham, G, Kentucky

At Kentucky, Dillingham showed the ability to get hot quickly and create shots for himself.

8. San Antonio Spurs (via TOR)- Dalton Knecht, G, Tennessee

Knect showed the ability to score on all three levels at Tennessee this season.

9. Memphis Grizzlies- Cody Williams, F, Colorado

Williams is a bigger player who can handle the ball. He’s been efficient and can bring some defensive versatility.

10. Utah Jazz- Donovan Clingan, F, UConn

Clingan helped UConn win back-to-back titles with his post-defense and interior scoring.

11. Chicago Bulls- Ron Holland, G/F, G-League Ignite

Holland is scoring a lot in the G-League, but isn’t playing efficiently. It may be hard to resist his athleticism and scoring ability.

12. Oklahoma City Thunder (via HOU)- Ja’Kobe Walter, G, Baylor

Spacing the floor can help the Thunder continue to grow. Waltershot just 34.1 percent from deep, but has shown signs of a great shooting stroke.

13. Sacramento Kings- Jared McCain, G, Duke

McCain was able to get hot from deep at Duke at the end of last season and can fill a role at the NBA level.

14. Portland Trail Blazers (via GS)- Yves Missi, F, Baylor

The Trail Blazers already drafted a guard and now can get an athletic big in Misi.

15. Miami Heat- Isaiah Collier, G, USC

Collier was a highly-ranked recruit, but the season at USC didn’t go according to plan.

16. Philadelphia 76ers- Kyle Filipowski, F, Duke

Filipowski can score in the post and stretch the floor solidly for a big.

17. Los Angeles Lakers- Tidjaune Salane, F, France

A wing who showed good shooting prowess, Salane has risen up draft boards and could continue to do so.

18. Orlando Magic- Devin Carter, G, Providence

Carter took a step forward this season as a scorer, but his real value comes as a defensive stopper.

19. Toronto Raptors (via IND)- Ryan Dunn, F, Virginia

Dunn is one of the elite defenders in the class and can stay on a roster because of it.

20. Cleveland Cavaliers- Jaylon Tyson, F, California

Getting a wing who can stretch the floor could help the Cavs go further in the playoffs.

21. New Orleans Pelicans (via MIL)- Johnny Furphy, F, Kansas

Furphy really flashed as a scorer and also got to the basket well for his size.

22. Phoenix Suns- Zach Edey, C, Purdue

While Edey will struggle to guard on the perimeter, he is an elite post scorer and rim protector.

23. Milwaukee Bucks (via NO)- Tristan Da Silva, F, Colorado

Da Silva can stretch the floor and defend from the wing.

24. New York Knicks (via NO)- Kel’el Ware, F, Indiana

While he is very athletic for his size, Ware can stretch the floor a bit too.

25. New York Knicks- Terrence Shannon Jr., G, Illinois

Shannon scored at a high-level and also handled the ball a lot for Illinois this season.

26. Washington Wizards (via LAC)- Carlton Carrington, G, Pittsburgh

Carrington is a good scorer, but can improve his shooting percentages from deep.

27. Minnesota Timberwolves- Daron Holmes, F, Dayton

Holmes has good body control for a big man and can be an athletic mismatch.

28. Denver Nuggets- Tyler Smith, F, G-League Ignite

Smith got some decent experience in the G-League and can stretch the floor a bit.

29. Utah Jazz (via OKC)- Kyshawn George, G/F, Miami

At Miami this season, George showed good ball-handling and playmaking for his size.

30. Boston Celtics- Kevin McCullar, G/F, Kansas

McCullar has really taken his game to another level for Kansas this season, scoring nearly 20 points a game.
