2022 NBA Mock Draft June 18

Joe DiTullioBy Joe DiTullioJune 18, 20225 Mins Read

The 2022 NBA Finals are over, which means the 2022 NBA Draft is coming up. Here is the 2022 NBA Mock Draft June 18.

1. Orlando Magic- Jabari Smith, F, Auburn

The Magic already have a solid young backcourt with Jalen Suggs and Cole Anthony. They can get an athletic big with the first pick of the draft in Smith.

2. Oklahoma City Thunder- Paolo Banchero, F, Duke

Getting a wing scorer like Banchero to go with their young guards will vastly improve the Thunder for next season.

3. Houston Rockets- Chet Holmgren, F, Gonzaga

Holmgren has unique skills for a player his size and will just need to add weight for the next level. He will pair nicely with Jalen Green.

4. Sacramento Kings- Jaden Ivey, G, Purdue

The Kings are likely trading this pick and Ivey is rumored to not want to play in Sacramento. Ivey stays at number four overall, but expect another team trading up to draft him.

5. Detroit Pistons- Johnny Davis, G, Wisconsin

After selecting Cade Cunningham in 2021, the Pistons can help him by getting someone who can spread the floor like Davis.

6. Indiana Pacers- Bennedict Mathurin, G/F, Arizona

Mathurin took a huge jump in productivity last season for Arizona and could really help the Pacers’ offense.

7. Portland Trail Blazers- Keegan Murray, F, Iowa

Murray is a solid scorer on multiple levels as a big man. He could be solid player to take some of the attention off of Damian Lillard.

8. New Orleans Pelicans- Shaedon Sharpe, G, Kentucky

After acquiring C.J. McCollum, the Pelicans had new life. They can take a chance on Sharpe, who might be the biggest boom or bust prospect in the draft.

9. San Antonio Spurs- AJ Griffin, G/F, Duke

Griffin is a 3-point specialist who can help spread the floor for Dejounte Murray and Keldon Johnson.

10. Washington Wizards- TyTy Washington, G, Kentucky

Getting another guard to pair with Bradley Beal would benefit the Wizards and Washington can play on or off the ball.

11. New York Knicks- Ochai Agbaji, G, Kansas

The Knicks could use a point guard, but probably won’t find their long-term answer at 11. Agbaji can be a good NBA 3-point shooter.

12. Oklahoma City Thunder- Jalen Duren, C, Memphis

Duren was one of the bright spots on a Memphis team that battled to make the NCAA Tournament. He protects the rim and rebounds well.

13. Charlotte Hornets- Malaki Branham, G/F, Ohio State

Surrounding LaMelo Ball with shooters like Branham will only make him more effective.

14. Cleveland Cavaliers- Nikola Jovic, F, Serbia

Jovic is a good scorer and could take some of the defensive focus teams place on Darius Garland and Collin Sexton away.

15. Charlotte Hornets- Tari Eason, F, LSU

At 6-foot-8, Eason demonstrated the ability to score effectively at LSU.

16. Atlanta Hawks- Jeremy Sochan, F, Baylor

Sochan was the Sixth Man of the Year in the Big 12 and can provide some depth in the frontcourt.

17. Houston Rockets- Blake Wesley, G, Notre Dame

Wesley showed some playmaking ability as a freshman at Notre Dame and could end up being a solid starting point guard in the league.

18. Chicago Bulls- Ousmane Dieng, F, France

Dieng is a very skilled player for his height, but could take some time to develop.

19. Minnesota Timberwolves-Dyson Daniels, PG, G-League

Daniels really needs work on his outside shot, but he is a solid passer.

20. San Antonio Spurs- MarJon Beauchamp, G, G-League

Beauchamp needs to shoot 3-pointers better and the Spurs are the team that has done a good job of working with players like that in the past.

21. Denver Nuggets- Kendall Brown, F, Baylor

While he didn’t quite play as well as expected at Baylor, Brown did a lot of the little things right.

22. Memphis Grizzlies- Mark Williams, C, Duke

Williams was a good shot blocker and rebounder for Duke and can provide center depth for the Hawks.

23. Brooklyn Nets- Kennedy Chandler, PG, Tennessee

Chandler can shoot and play defense well, which makes him a good candidate to be a backup point guard.

24. Milwaukee Bucks- Walker Kessler, C, Auburn

Teams needing a shot-blocker should look in Kessler’s direction.

25. San Antonio Spurs- E.J. Liddell, F, Ohio State

Liddell is a forward that can shoot and score on all three levels.

26. Dallas Mavericks- Wendell Moore, G, Duke

His defense is solid and Moore really improved as a shooter at Duke in 2021-2022.

27. Miami Heat- Jaylin Williams, F/C, Arkansas

Williams is a good athlete and can draw plenty of fouls/charges.

28. Golden State Warriors- Patrick Baldwin, F, Milwaukee

While his freshman season didn’t go as planned, at 6-foot-9 Baldwin is very talented for his size and the Warriors can take the time to develop him.

29. Memphis Grizzlies- Trevor Keels, G, Duke

Keels showed the ability to play on and off the ball at Duke. He has an NBA ready body and just needs to improve his outside shot a little bit.

30. Denver Nuggets- Christian Braun, G/F, Kansas

Braun is a good athlete who can defend decently and shoot.
