The 2021 NBA playoffs are underway, which means the 2021 NBA Draft won’t be too far behind. Here is the 2021 NBA Mock Draft June 10.
Draft order from nbadraftnet.com
1. Houston Rockets- Cade Cunningham, G/F, Oklahoma State
The Rockets are rebuilding and can get a nice player to build around in Cunningham if they get the first pick. He can score and make plays for his teammates, which is impressive given his size.
2. Detriot Pistons- Jalen Suggs, PG, Gonzaga
The Pistons have lacked a great point guard since Chauncey Billups. Suggs can be the next great one for Detroit.
3. Orlando Magic- Evan Mobley, PF/C, USC
Orlando traded Nikola Vucevic and need to get a new big man to man the paint.
4. Oklahoma City Thunder- Jalen Green, G, G-League
Shai Gilgeous-Alexander needs to be surrounded with athletic shooters to help him create. Green can improve on his 36.5 percent shooting from deep in the years to come.
5. Cleveland Cavaliers- Jonathan Kuminga, F, G-League
The Cavaliers have a good backcourt in Darius Garland and Collin Sexton. Getting a young forward to go with them will really help the team build.
6. Golden State Warriors- Jalen Johnson, F, Duke
Johnson opted out of the season after it started, but he plays a unique style. He has good body control and ball-handling ability. The Warriors could use a forward that can score.
7. Toronto Raptors- Scottie Barnes, F, Florida State
The Raptors might be ready for a rebuild. Barnes played point guard at Florida State and could help run the offense at the NBA level.
8. Orlando Magic- Moses Moody, G, Arkansas
After selecting Mobley, the Magic can get a three-level scorer in Moody to pair with Cole Anthony.
9. Sacramento Kings- Kai Jones, PF/C, Texas
The backcourt is stacked with D’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield. Sacramento needs to get some bigs and Jones was a much-improved player this season at Texas.
10. New Orleans Pelicans- Davion Mitchell, G, Baylor
New Orleans needs better perimeter defense and Mitchell is a good two-way player.
11. Charlotte Hornets- Franz Wagner, F, Michigan
The Hornets are loaded at the guard position and need to make some moves for forwards and bigs. Wagner can get to the basket and create from the forward spot.
12. San Antonio Spurs- Keon Johnson, G, Tennessee
Johnson didn’t perform up to expectations at Tennessee, but he provided flashes of getting to the basket.
13. Indiana Pacers- Corey Kispert, G/F, Gonzaga
The Pacers need to get players who can space the floor for their good interior players and Kispert is a very efficient offensive player.
14. Golden State Warriors- James Bouknight, G, UConn
Bouknight is a great scorer who could help open things up for Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson.
15. Washington Wizards- Isaiah Jackson, F, Kentucky
Washington could really use a rim-protector to help their poor defense. Jackson protects the rim and rebounds, but needs to work on his offensive game.
16. Boston Celtics- Josh Giddey, PG, Australia
Giddey has great size and creates well, as he averaged 7.5 assists per game in Australia.
17. Memphis Grizzlies- Cameron Thomas, G, LSU
Thomas isn’t afraid to shoot, but he needs better shot selection to be more efficient. Playing with Ja Morant could help.
18. Houston Rockets- Nah’Shon Hyland, G, VCU
Hyland can light it up and create his own shot. Playing next to Cade Cunningham will open things up for him.
19. New York Knicks- Ayo Dosunmu, G, Illinois
Derrik Rose played well, but the Knicks need a point guard of the future. Getting Dosunmu will allow Immanuel Quickley to play off-ball.
20. Atlanta Hawks- Josh Christopher, G, Arizona State
Christopher only played 15 games, but proved he coudl score, as he averaged 14.3 points per game.
21. New York Knicks- Johnny Juzang, G, UCLA
The Knicks have great defense, but they need to add more shooters to the roster to make a deep run in the playoffs.
22. Los Angeles Lakers- Miles McBride, PG, West Virginia
McBride can play defense, create for teammates and hit his shots. He is the perfect role player for the Lakers as they look to continue competing for championships.
23. Houston Rockets- Usman Garuba, C, Spain
With so many first round picks, the Rockets may use one on a draft and stash.
24. Houston Rockets- Jaden Springer, G, Tennessee
Springer didn’t take many 3-pointers, but he hit 43.5 percent when he did take them. That, plus his athletic tools, make him a solid late-round pick for the Rockets.
25. Los Angeles Clippers- Charles Bassey, C, Western Kentucky
Bassey has solid athleticism for a big and runs the floor well.
26. Denver Nuggets- Roko Prkacin, PF, Croatia
The Nuggets could use another developmental big.
27. Brooklyn Nets- Tre Mann, PG, Florida
Brooklyn doesn’t need much help in their starting lineup, but a developmental point guard would greatly benefit the roster.
28. Philadelphia 76ers- Jared Butler, PG, Baylor
The 76ers need more of a scoring punch from their bench and Butler was a great college scorer.
29. Phoenix Suns- David Duke, PG, Providence
The Suns can get a solid young point guard to develop behind Chris Paul.
30. Utah Jazz- Brandon Boston, G/F, Kentucky
Boston didn’t have quite the year he hoped he would have at Kentucky, but still showed flashes of greatness.
