The 2021 NBA playoffs are over, which means the 2021 NBA Draft won’t be too far behind. Here is the 2021 NBA Mock Draft July 29.
Draft order from nbadraftnet.com.
1. Detroit Pistons- Cade Cunningham, F, Oklahoma State
Rumors are swirling about whether the Pistons will take Cunningham or trade the pick. If they keep the pick, they need to draft Cunningham, who is the best player in the draft.

2. Houston Rockets- Jalen Green, G, G-League
The Rockets are in a rebuilding mode, but have John Wall on the books for the next two seasons. Taking Green will give him a nice scoring guard to play off of.
3. Cleveland Cavaliers- Evan Mobley, F/C, USC
The Cavaliers have taken plenty of guards and wings over the last few years in the draft. Now, they can take a young big man in Mobley, who has great mobility.
4. Toronto Raptors- Jalen Suggs, G, Gonzaga
Kyle Lowry is likely going to leave Toronto this offseason and the Raptors need a point guard of the future.
5. Orlando Magic- Jonathan Kuminga, F, G-League
Orlando seems like they are in a perennial rebuild, but they do have a solid young point guard in Cole Anthony. Surrounding him with a good wing will help his development.
6. Oklahoma City Thunder- James Bouknight, G, UConn
Rumors are swirling on the Thunder taking James Bouknight. He would be an athletic player who can get to the basket and finish well for OKC.
7. Golden State Warriors- Scottie Barnes, F, Florida State
Golden State needs better wing play if Steph Curry and Klay Thompson are both healthy. Barnes is big enough to be a wing player, but actually played point guard at Florida State.
8. Orlando Magic- Moses Moody, G, Arkansas
The Magic could use another guard to pair with Cole Anthony in the backcourt.
9. Sacramento Kings- Franz Wagner, F, Michigan
With De’Aaron Fox, Tyrese Haliburton and Buddy Hield, the Kings are set on the perimeter. They could use a versatile forward like Wagner to help fill out their roster.
10. Memphis Grizzlies- Josh Giddey, PG, Australia
The Grizzlies moved up to number 10 and are rumored to take Giddey. While he did play point guard in Australia, he will be a versatile wing in the NBA.
11. Charlotte Hornets- Jalen Johnson, F, Duke
The Hornets have plenty of guards, but need more effective players in the frontcourt. Johnson has solid body control and ball-handling for a player of his size.
12. San Antonio Spurs- Corey Kispert, G/F, Gonzaga
The Spurs ranked near the bottom of the league in 3-point percentage and need to spread the floor better.
13. Indiana Pacers- Davion Mitchell, G, Baylor
Indiana does not play good defense and needs to improve on the perimeter. Mitchell is one of the best perimeter defenders in the draft.
14. Golden State Warriors- Keon Johnson, G, Tennessee
With two first picks in the first half of the first round, the Warriors will get some key players to help them get back to the playoffs if they stay healthy. Johnson can be good insurance in case Klay Thompson isn’t fully recovered.
15. Washington Wizards- Kai Jones, C, Texas
The Wizards found a solid big in Daniel Gafford, but that shouldn’t stop them from adding to the frontcourt with already having Russell Westbrook and Bradley Beal in the backcourt.
16. Oklahoma City Thunder- Trey Murphy, F, Virginia
Oklahoma City addressed the guard spot earlier in the draft and can get a shooter in the middle of the draft that plays forward.
17. New Orleans Pelicans- Isaiah Jackson, F, Kentucky
The Pelicans have to play better defense to improve. Jackson will help protect the rim immediately.
18. Oklahoma City Thunder- Cameron Thomas, G, LSU
With three first round picks, the Thunder just need to take the best player available at this point. Thomas can be inefficient, but he scores well.
19. New York Knicks- Na’Shon “Bones” Hyland, G, VCU
The Knicks need to find a point guard and Hyland can play that role. He also can light it up from the perimeter.
20. Atlanta Hawks- Ziaire Williams, F, Stanford
Atlanta is reportedly trying to trade some of their young forwards because they won’t be able to afford them. They can go with a younger forward in Williams.
21. New York Knicks- Sharife Cooper, G, Auburn
When the Knicks have been without a great point guard for so long, it makes sense to try and take two in the first round and try to strike gold for one.
22. Los Angeles Lakers- Miles McBride, PG, West Virginia
The Lakers need to find good role players to surround LeBron James and Anthony Davis. McBride can be an excellent role player with his ability to shoot and defend well on the perimeter.
23. Houston Rockets- Usman Garuba, C, Spain
At this point, the Rockets need to take the best player available, because they have so many holes on their roster. Garuba has professional experience and could provide some athleticism to the frontcourt.
24. Houston Rockets- Chris Duarte, G, Oregon
The Rockets can get steals and can help a rebuilding Rockets team.
25. Los Angeles Clippers- Alperen Sengun, C, Turkey
The Clippers can use a young center on the bench to develop for the future.
26. Denver Nuggets- Josh Primo, G, Alabama
Finding a player who can score off the bench will greatly benefit the Nuggets in the future.
27. Brooklyn Nets- Tre Mann, PG, Florida
Brooklyn needs to keep on finding players to space the floor for their stars.
28. Philadelphia 76ers- Ayo Dosunmu, G, Illinois
Philadelphia may trade Ben Simmons and will need help at guard if they do.
29. Phoenix Suns- Jared Butler, PG, Baylor
Chris Paul can’t play forever, but maybe he can help guide the next Suns point guard.
30. Utah Jazz- Josh Christopher, G, Arizona State
Christopher needs to develop his shot, but he can create for himself.
