NBA 2k24 Cover Athlete Revealed

The NBA 2k series has long been one of the better sports series. Lately, it has started to trend more in the Madden way, less content and less graphical updates, it still is a generally solid basketball experience. The hope will be that the latest version of the game will address most of the player’s concerns. Players will want to know who the cover athlete will end up being. After some time the NBA 2k24 Cover Athlete has been revealed.

The Game Haus made a Top 5 list based on who was the most likely option. Here is what was said about Kobe Bryant and why he was number one on the list.

1. Kobe Bryant

“There is not much else to say other than this was his number. Yes, Kobe has been on the front of NBA 2k games in the past but this may genuinely be one of his last chances unless they decide to give him another randomly or in 2028 because it has an eight in it. He is an all-time great and it would be a great way to honor his memory as he passed away much too soon. They need to make it like they did last season. Have the regular version be a current player, Jokic in this instance and then give Kobe Bryant the special edition. Not much else to add to this other than, make it happen 2k.”

Again this really should not be a surprise to anyone. Kobe deserves it and every other option on the list will have other chances. It feels bad for Jokic though as he has had an unreal tear over the last three years and has been passed up each year. Maybe next year?

Regardless, the game should be arriving sometime in September which is right before the start of the 2023-2024 NBA season.
