The National PUBG League is back with its second week of action in Phase 2. It is still early on, but we are beginning to see what teams are going to be the powerhouses this time around. Newly promoted teams are asserting their dominance while old teams are showing why they deserve to be here. Who came out on top at the end of Week 2?
The first match of Week 2 saw a Chicken Dinner for The Rumblers. The Rumblers, formerly Mustache Dave, have been showing the power that newly promoted teams have. Using the momentum from their win last week, they came together to hold on until the end. They took out BluMartini Gaming while the circle closed in and took 10 kills for the win.
Simplicity picked up a win in Match 2 after looking for a win in Week 1. They earned seven kills as they ran through the other teams and headed toward their victory. It came down to a three on one situation against Ghost Gaming. Simplicity held off Ghost’s final member as the blue zone took them down. They finally earned the points that they needed so badly.
Match 3 went to Player One Esports who earned one more kill than Simplicity in the previous match. They earned their eight kills while taking out Endemic in the final minutes. Player One managed to hold on to all of their team members and take the Chicken Dinner. It all came down to a firefight in an open field on Miramar. Endemic tried to use the terrain to their advantage, but were overcome by Player One’s firepower.
The final match of the day was taken yet again by Player One. Coming off of their win they took down nine players and finished off the former champions Tempo Storm. Player One used a hill to make sure that they got the jump on Tempo Storm. With no wins in Week 1, Player One now has two under their belts.
The Day 1 standouts are Player One and The Rumblers. Player One came out of nowhere and earned two wins while barely losing any of their team. They showed that they can overcome whatever is in front of them. The Rumblers stood out yet again earning another win. Being a newly promoted team, they have come a long way and will be sure to show up again.
Day 2 kicked off with Tempo Storm taking a huge 16-kill Chicken Dinner. Without a win in Day 1, they were looking to pick things back up as they took down Player One for the win. Their win was followed by a Chicken Dinner for Denial, who were looking to bounce back after their great Week 1 performance. They finished off The Rumblers in a tense one on one battle as the blue zone was closing in.
Match 3 was taken by another Week 1 big shot, Lazarus. They claimed a major seven kill win in Week 2 by taking down Team Envy and Ghost Gaming in the final seconds of the match. They gained some major points toward the race for the top. After that Cloud9 claimed their first win with eleven kills. They have been gunning for a win since the first day, and they finally got it with a win over Simplicity.
Who Is On Top?
The standouts of day two in the National PUBG League were Tempo Storm and Lazarus. Tempo Storm bumped themselves up to second place, showing that they aren’t backing down this time. They want the number one spot yet again. Lazarus finished the week in eighth, but there is still a lot of time left. They have the teamwork and killing power that could earn them a top four spot.
The Rumblers are sitting in first place, but will they be able to hold on? Tune in again for more coverage of the National PUBG League.
