The Atlanta Braves have signed arguably the best free-agent left on the market in Yasiel Puig. This is according to MLB Network’s Mark Feinsand.

Before this Puig was offered a deal by the Baltimore Orioles but has decided to play in Atlanta instead.
Puig joins a very young team and talented outfield in Atlanta. He is an outstanding personality and player for the Braves. He will likely be a rotational outfielder and a designated hitter for the Braves.
He joins former All-Stars Ronald Acuña Jr., Ender Inciarte, Marcell Ozuna and Adam Duvall in the Braves’ outfield. Puig was an All-Star back with the Dodgers in 2014. Last season he hit .267, 24 home runs and had 84 RBIs.
Puig started last season with the Cincinnati Reds but then was traded to the Cleveland Indians as a part of the three-team trade that involved Trevor Bauer right before the trade deadline. Puig and the Indians were three games away from a wild card spot last season.
The Atlanta Braves had the second-best record in the National League last year going 97-55 which was first in the NL East. But the Braves were upset by the St. Louis Cardinals in five games of the Divisional Round last season.
The Braves are hoping a veteran like Puig could help the team make a further run in the playoffs and possibly reach the World Series.
