The MLB Trade Deadline is one of the most important days of the sports calendar. Teams will be making moves to compete now or to build for the future. When is that approaching for the 2023 season?
For the 2023 season, the deadline is August 1. Teams will be allowed to complete trades up to 6 p.m. EST/3 p.m. PST. Transactions will have to be put through to the league office before this time to go through.
Trades are already starting to come through, as the Atlanta Braves already acquired Pierce Johnson.
This will be the deadline for all trades. Formerly, the MLB had a trade deadline and a waiver deadline, but they got rid of the waiver deadline before 2019.
