The Miami Marlins have traded starting pitcher Trevor Rogers to the Baltimore Orioles for outfielder Kyle Stowers and infielder Connor Norby. Ken Rosenthal reported the news.
Rogers is 2-9 with a 4.53 ERA in 2024. All five of his MLB seasons have been in Miami, where he has posted a 15-32 record and an ERA of 4.23 ERA.
The Orioles have added to their starting pitching depth with the acquisition of Rogers. Kyle Bradish, John Means and Tyler Wells are all on the 60-day IL.
Baltimore currently has a record of 63-44 to lead the AL East as they try to make moves to improve their roster before the playoffs.
The Marlins are receiving Stowers, 26, and Norby, 24, as part of their rebuild. Stowers has .229 batting average, four home runs and 20 RBI in parts of three MLB seasons. Norby has a .188 average with two home runs and three RBI this season for the Orioles.
