National League Cy Young winner Trevor Bauer has signed a deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers. After just one year with the Cincinnati Reds that culminated in pitching’s highest honor, he will play for the reigning World Series champions.
ESPN’s Jeff Passan reported the news via Twitter on Friday afternoon.
In 73 innings pitched, Bauer posted an ERA of just 1.73 and just 5.1 hits per nine innings. Along with those came two complete games and two shutouts. All of those numbers were the MLB’s best in 2020, which led to an easy Cy Young victory.
The contract is reportedly worth $102 million over three years.
