The Detroit Tigers have completed a trade for reliever Kyle Finnegan of the Washington Nationals, according to Ken Rosenthal. There are no reports on a return for the Nationals as of yet.
Finnegan, 33, is a righty who is a one-time All-Star. He has a 4.38 ERA this season, and a 3.66 ERA in his career.
The Tigers rank in the bottom half of the league with a 4.16 ERA, so they’ll hope this strengthens a weakness for them.
Washington has a 44-64 record this season and are out of playoff contention.
