Major League Baseball is about to start and teams have prepared their pitching rotations. Here is the San Diego Padres 2024 projected pitching rotation.
Darvish pitched well in Korea and didn’t allow a run. During the 2023 season, he had a 4.56 ERA with a record of 8-10.
Musgrove also pitched during the Padres’ trip to Korea. That didn’t go well, but he had a 3.05 ERA and a record of 10-3 in 2023.
Cease had a down-year in 2023, but has been solid overall in his career. In 2023, he went 7-9 with an ERA of 4.58.
In Korea, King came out of the bullpen for the Padres, but will be a starter to start the year. He had a 2.75 ERA in 2023 with appearances as a starter and out of the bullpen.
Brito also came out of the bullpen in Korea and didn’t pitch well. He will start the season in the rotation after having a 4.28 ERA for the Yankees last season.
Notes: Randy Vasquez (RHP) and Matt Waldron (RHP) also are in contention for the fifth spot in the rotation.
