The Tampa Bay Rays have acquired Dylan Carlson in a trade from the Cardinals. St. Louis will receive Shawn Armstrong in return. Mark Feinsand reported the trade first.
Carlson has struggled this season, batting .198 with no home runs and 12 RBI. In his career, he has hit .239 with 34 homers and 161 RBI over five seasons.
The Cardinals are receiving Shawn Armstrong, who has a 5.40 ERA in 38 games this season. Over his career, he has a 4.18 ERA in 10 seasons.
