Dickerson will basically help give this team more depth with the team already having Bryce Harper, Jay Bruce and Scott Kingery. Dickerson has been injured for a portion of the season, but he’s still hitting .317/.376/.556 through 43 games this season. He also had a two-homer night on July 30, likely helping his trade value. The 30-year-old will remain in Pennsylvania, but this time with a team in the playoff picture.
The Pirates will receive a player to be named later, along with international bonus money.
