Syndergaard, 29, has a 3.37 ERA and 52-39 record across seven major league seasons with the Mets and Angels. This season, he has a 5-8 record in 15 starts with a 3.83 ERA.
Philadelphia has made moves to compete and currently sits with a record of 55-47, which is third in the NL East. The addition of Syndergaard should greatly help the rotation, if he can stay healthy.
There is no word on the return for Syndergaard yet.
